Swedish Massage

  Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork.  The massage combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes.  These 5 are the most often used: Effleurage (a soothing, gliding movement introducing the hands to the body),  Petrissage (kneading and loosening the muscles), Friction (stimulates blood circulation by small circular moves), Tapotment (rhythmic percussion to wake up the nervous system), & finally vibration/shaking.  

  Swedish Massage requires the client to lay on a table undressed to their comfort level beneath a sheet & blanket. The Massage Therapist will then uncover different body parts of the body to massage the client utilizing oil/lotion (whichever the client prefers).

  The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. In addition it can include an increase in blood circulation, flushing the circulation system of toxins, and rehabilitating muscle injuries and joint flexibility. It is an enjoyable introduction to the world of massage!

Deep Tissue Massage

  Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Prenatal Massage

A prenatal massage is a full body massage performed by a certified Prenatal Massage Therapist. It is similar to a Swedish massage (like what you might experience at a spa) except for a few modifications with body positioning that can ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Reflexology

Unlike other massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet or hands. These are called zones to help with locating different areas that may need to be worked on. 

Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression & internal bodily functions.
